- Myofascial Release is a light, gentle technique used to help ease pain and improve movement by gently easing the fascia (connective tissue) in the body to release long-held discomfort and restrictions.
- Trigger Points are tears or restrictions in the muscle fibre which may cause ongoing pain. Specialised gentle techniques can discover and ease the source of the problem and reduce or eliminate the pain.
- Advanced stretching gently helps to improve flexibility and movement.
All of these advanced techniques are gentle, and only mild discomfort may be felt, and are incorporated in my massage treatments.
(When used incorrectly essential oils can be dangerous, and a qualified Aromatherapist should therefore always be consulted prior to use. Jackie is qualified to use essential oils during pregnancy)
Ear Acupuncture Ear (or Auricular) Acupuncture is a specialised complementary therapy where acupuncture points on the outer ear are treated, using very fine needles to help relieve many chronic complaints. The outer ear acts like a switchboard to the brain and each acupoint on the ear, when treated, triggers electrical impulses, from the ear, via the brain, to the specific area of the body that is being treated. It can also assist with weight management and smoking cessation.
Facial Acupuncture/Facial Rejuvenation As well as being able to treat the body on the face, this simple, safe and effective treatment uses very fine needles to improve the look of wrinkles and muscle tone. Facial acupuncture stimulates the cells to lay down new collagen fibres under wrinkles giving them a plumper look. It relaxes muscles, which combats sagging in facial areas and giving a fresher, smoother appearance after several treatments although small changes may be seen after the initial session.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a very gentle massage that encourages the flow of lymph fluid through the body. It consists of specialised gentle massage strokes and is the most effective treatment in controlling Lymphoedema and other forms of swelling, and can also help to heal fractures, sprains, burns and scars.

Some of the techniques can be used during other massage treatments if needed at the wishes of the client.
